The Head of Purchasing will be responsible for overseeing the procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials to support production and company goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
Manage and lead the purchasing team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure material availability and quality.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance cooperation and resolve any issues.
Prepare reports and presentations on purchasing activities and market trends for senior management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of [X years] experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or furniture industry.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
