Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of Research and Scholarship Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for researching and curating a diverse collection of movies, shows, and books for our organization’s media library. Additionally, the role involves identifying exceptional students and coordinating testing programs for scholarship and tuition assistance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Curation:
- Conduct in-depth research to find and recommend high-quality movies, shows, and books across various genres and formats.
- Maintain an organized catalog of recommended media, ensuring selections align with the organization’s goals and values.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in entertainment, literature, and educational media.
Student Identification and Coordination:
- Research and identify promising students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, or exceptional talent.
- Develop and manage a selection process for identifying scholarship recipients, including creating and administering tests and assessments.
- Coordinate scholarship programs, ensuring smooth communication with students, schools, and educational institutions.
- Assist in organizing outreach programs to attract applicants for scholarships and tuition programs.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure media selections and scholarship initiatives meet organizational objectives.
- Provide regular reports on media curation efforts and scholarship program progress.
- Maintain relationships with external partners, such as educational institutions and content providers.
Qualifications:
- Strong research skills with the ability to find, evaluate, and recommend diverse media content.
- Experience working with students or educational programs, particularly in scholarship coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
- A background in media studies, literature, education, or a related field.
- Previous experience in scholarship administration or academic programs.
- Knowledge of current trends in entertainment, media, and education.
