We are looking for an experienced Development Manager/Team Lead to oversee a team of Software Developers, System Analysts, Quality Control Engineers, and DBAs at PRAL headquarters in Islamabad. Manager/Team Lead will be responsible for leading software development assignment in the PRAL-managed commercial projects wing, ensuring delivery of high-quality software systems, and coordinate directly with functional teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Manage, build, lead, coach, and motivate a team of professionals, ensuring collaborative environment in teams, with different levels of hierarchy in the Operations department with optimal utilization of resources and maximum potential.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and deliverable scope.
- Lead and Coordinate teams, ensuring effective communication and team collaboration.
- Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues/blockers with leadership and coaching skills.
- Ensure service level commitments with project Clients are met.
- Develop, maintain, and implement end-to-end software applications, web-based, desktop, window services, business objects, and other software components with industry-standard software development life cycle best practices.
- Maintain optimized processes for project management (e.g. Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile/Scrum frameworks and practices) for the design, coding, prototyping, and testing cycle of the product.
- Manage and coordinate core aspects of software development stages for under-umbrella projects, including scoping, planning, technical prototyping, construction, and implementation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Actively participate with other teams to ensure that the environment and infrastructures can support system development requirements and that individual feature or component teams communicate effectively.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement a Software Maintenance Management Plan; establish a Change Control Board for commercial projects to review the impact of changes prior to implementation; prepare internal change management procedures/processes for all scheduled and emergency changes to reduce the risk when changes to production environments occur.
- Provide technical production support on critical dates and proactively escalate probable system problems or design flaws to management, providing early solutions to prevent serious impacts on business continuity.
- Investigate, analyze, debug, troubleshoot, and fix system and performance issues and errors by optimizing source code for consolidated new releases.
- Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager (Operations) and/or Chief Manager (Commercial Projects).
Requirements:
- Master’s degree preferably or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Applicants with CSM/PSD, CSSLP, or any other relevant software certifications will be preferred.
- Minimum of (05) five years experience in a managerial role overseeing software development teams.
- Strong concepts of MVC .Net Framework
- Strong knowledge of Java and .NET programming languages with SQL Server and Oracle Database environments.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
