The Onsite SEO Specialist will be responsible for optimizing our website to improve search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and enhance user experience. You will work closely with our content, design, and marketing teams to implement effective SEO strategies tailored to the custom packaging industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant keywords and phrases for our industry and target audience. Develop and manage keyword lists to guide content creation and optimization.
Onsite Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and URLs for target keywords. Ensure proper use of schema markup and other SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility.
Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to develop and implement an SEO-driven content strategy. Provide guidance on creating high-quality, keyword-rich content that meets both user needs and search engine requirements.
Technical SEO: Perform regular technical audits to identify and resolve issues affecting site performance, such as page speed, mobile usability, and crawl errors. Ensure the website adheres to SEO best practices and guidelines.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Provide regular reports on traffic, rankings, and other key metrics. Use insights to refine and improve SEO strategies.
Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to understand the SEO landscape and identify opportunities for improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to keep our SEO strategies ahead of the curve.
Link Building: Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks to enhance domain authority and search engine rankings. Ensure that link-building practices adhere to ethical guidelines and industry standards.
User Experience: Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure the website provides an optimal user experience. Address issues related to site navigation, usability, and overall design to support SEO goals.
Proven experience as an Onsite SEO Specialist or similar role, with a track record of improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic.
Strong understanding of SEO principles, best practices, and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz).
Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
