We are seeking an experienced and qualified Chief Accountant to lead and manage our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of professional accounting experience, hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification, and possess the expertise to run the accounting department independently. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial processes and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to financial regulations.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, and budgets to senior management.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure optimal financial health.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and legal regulations to ensure best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- CA (Chartered Accountant) certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the accounting function.
