The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a sales team (Head office & Remote UK Based) to achieve sales goals, develop strategic sales initiatives, Manage LMT’s (Local Modern Trade) Business, and drive revenue growth. This role requires effective remote leadership, strong sales understanding, and working collaboratively with team members across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities and set sales goals.
    • Create and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and support a remote sales team, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
    • Conduct regular virtual meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Track and analyze sales metrics, such as sales volume, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance and team progress to senior management.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Oversee the resolution of customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Processes and Tools:
    • Implement and optimize sales processes, systems, and tools to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
    • Utilize Reporting systems to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and analyze data.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive remote work environment through effective communication and team-building activities.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Research to understand market conditions, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for product development, pricing strategies, and market positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing teams and working in a virtual environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms for remote work and team collaboration.
