Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising within the home textile industry, with a specific focus on costing for knitted fitted sheets and woven bedding. This individual will play a key role in managing the end-to-end merchandising process, from product development to delivery, while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the entire merchandising process for knitted fitted sheets and woven bedding, from product conception to delivery.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with design and production teams to develop new products and collections, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and market demands.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers and vendors to optimize costs and maintain quality standards.
Oversee production schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to facilitate the transportation and distribution of merchandise.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on sales performance, inventory levels, and market insights.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve processes and strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the home textile industry.
Strong knowledge of costing for knitted fitted sheets and woven bedding, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
Proven track record of successfully managing merchandising projects from concept to delivery.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, if required.
