Finance / Accounting Executive

MicroMerger (Pvt.) Ltd, a leading consultancy firm, seeks a seasoned Finance and Accounting Executive for its Islamabad office. The Finance Executive will oversee all financial and accounting activities related to the project. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a comprehensive understanding of financial management, compliance, and reporting. The incumbent shall be responsible for following key functions, accountabilities and related duties.

1. Financial Management:

Assist in project budget preparation and monitoring.
Monitor and control project expenditures within budgetary constraints.
Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reports.
Collaborate with department managers on financial matters impacting budgets.
Assist contractual arrangements and ensure timely payments to partners and vendors.

2. Accounting Operations:

Handle day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, general ledger).
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting per organizational policies.
Conduct regular account reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset reporting (depreciation, reconciliation).
Assist in payroll disbursement.
Liaise with tax advisors for timely tax statements and returns.

3. Compliance and Audit:

Comply with financial regulations and standards.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Maintain and assist in internal controls.

4. Team Support:

Assist the Account and Finance Manager.
Foster effective communication within the finance team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting & finance role, preferably within the development sector or with an international or large organization.
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Fluency in English and Urdu is required; knowledge of an additional local language is an asset.
