Stock Management:

  • Closely monitor Store Orders OPL/ Normal Order.
  • Keep close Liaison with Offer Management and Supplier forstock and delivery follow ups.
  • Maintain Stock holding with in Budget and assure maximum stock availability (Service Level).
  • Logistics and General Administration
  • Assist Line Manager to Control issuance of Purchase Orders and corresponding CAPEX for non-trade supplies based on its use, management and distribution.
  • Assist Line Manager to monitor and ensure prompt and accurate generation of reports and facilitates immediate dissemination / distribution to concerned units.
  • Assist Line Manager to expedite procurement of Store supplies and the processing of payment requests of non trade supplies.
  • Assist Line Manager to ensure proper handling and accurate book keeping of petty cash fund.
  • Assist Line Manager to ensure timely preparation of requests of signage for merchandise display.
  • Documents relevant records on sales and expense for specific period.
  • Assist Line Manager to audits sales, bank remittances, stores fixed assets related to maintenance and IT etc, Change Fund and Petty Cash Fund.
  • Reconciliation of above mentioned reports.
  • Assist Line Manager to monitor the store's shrinkage, especially the Fresh Department.
  • Assist Line Manager to prepare the Scrap Carton Report on periodic basis
  • Assists Store Manager and line manager in budget preparation and monitors actual expenditures versus budget.

Audit Functions

  • Assist Line Manager to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures by all departments.
  • Assist Line Manager to analyzes computer-generated reports and discusses matters with concerned managers.
  • Assist Line Manager to conduct daily check on Point of Sales (POS) transactions.
  • Assist Line Manager to conduct random audit of Store treasury cash float.
  • Assist Line Manager to ensure systematic checkpoint for the merchandise at the Goods Receiving Department prior to delivery of gathered data.
  • Assist Line Manager to conduct audit on GR transactions prior to submission of all GR documents to Invoice Control.
  • Assist Line Manager to oversee conduct of cyclic and annual stock takes and ensures speedy reconciliation and rationalization of gathered data on annual basis
  • Assist Line Manager to ensure the strict implementation of systems and procedures on all facets of store operations.
  • Audit the End Control process
  • Ensure compliance to policies

Competitors Analysis:

  • Check Competitor’s promotion to know their tools and techniques and device strategy to encounter their promotions.
  • Analyze Price comparison with main competitor/s.
  • Main competitors definition with Store Management team
  • Evaluate competitors‘ promotions check to give on-going feedback on main competitors (retailers, wholesalers, etc.) per customer segment (HoReCa, Trader, Services, Companies & Offices) to Buying Department.
  • Visit competitor to check price, assortment, merchandizing, services, competitor activities and to give feedback on the competition to buying hence not relying only on MIU reports.

Operations Management:

  • Department’s performance check on regular bases to ensure smooth operations including the following
  • Ensure the following on the floor (PSPSPP)
  • Supervise promotion sales management and reordering on daily bases regarding stock and replenishment, sales figures, comparison with forecasted amount, react to sales (presentation, etc.), to follow sales to be able to reorder and relocate end-caps.
  • Lead and control promotions ordering and display planning regarding location for articles on promotion, end-caps and promotional area, quantities, promotion area preparation, promotion product display the day before, order planning and display planning.
  • Prepare an action plan on the bases of analysis of promotions results, to give feedback to buyer, make action plan for remaining stock, and have information for next Metro Mail.
  • Communication with Buyers and Logistics to provide buyers to share information, challenges and solutions.
  • Meeting with Field Operations Managers and Key Accounts Manager at least on weekly bases to exchange information about customers and define actions to satisfy their needs.
  • Coach and train team members on existing and new concepts, technology and functionality to pave their way towards the successful achievement of the functional objectives of the team, thus playing a role in the enhancement of the technical skill set of an individual and improving the growth of an individual towards positive attitude.
  • Monitor performance of all team members in order to identify the difference between expected level of productivity and actual productivity.
  • Review and approve all the operational activities of team members.
  • Keep motivation level high among all team members to bring the best out of them.
  • Keep a conducive and learning environment among all team members in order to ensure a healthy, friendly, productive and supportive environment.
  • Ensure that each member is adhering to the policies and procedures announced by the management.

  • Safety: food safety (HACCP), health & safety, fire safety

Other than that the above mentioned responsibility other responsibility would be Promotions administration, Communication, Team Management and Economic Performance Administration
