Program management

Participate in the development and realization of the country strategy.
Drive the medical and technical aspects in the development of MdM's strategy and budget.
Design new health interventions in compliance with MDM, donor`s project design guidelines and according to the population's needs.
Make sure the different components of the program are consistent and in link with population needs.
Lead the implementation of medical activities in link with the needs of the focused areas of intervention.
Conduct rapid health assessments as per need and remains available to respond to emergencies related to medical activities in case of need.
Lead the monitoring of the different components of the program and ensure the existence and functionality of project monitools.
Share a regular analysis MDM medical data and enforce corrective measures on the medical activities’ qualities.
Lead, supervise and ensures the creation and implementation of medical activities daily, weekly, and monthly plans in all MDM bases in the country.
Develop when necessary and validate technical guidelines, feedbacks and advisories shared by the medical advisors before last submission to the technical referents in headquarters.

Team management

Provide a technical support to the medical team on a close regular basis regarding the implementation and monitoring of the activities.
Participate in staff recruitment for those under her/his direct or technical management.
Ensure proper induction, capacity building of medical team at different levels.
Develop individual action plans and proceed to regular professional evaluations.
Define, roll out and supervise the whistleblowing policy and tools especially in relation to respecting patients/beneficiaries’ rights and dignity in MDM interventions.

Stock and logistics chain for medical purchase

Ensure the relevance of the medical orders (equipment, drugs and consumables) according to the needs, consumptions, budgets and local regulations and make the validation before submitted to headquarters.
Follow up on medical purchase process and ensure timely delivery of requested items.
Ensure the compliance and quality of medical stock management to MDM SOPs and internal regulations in close collaboration with the logistic department.

Coordination and representation

Participate in the different medical meetings, especially health nutrition and GBV clusters/sector meetings.
Be proactive in networking, establish and maintain good relationships with MoH and other relevant stakeholders for the benefit of the MdM country program.
Ensure coordination and work in close collaboration with other actors in the country to avoid duplication and to address uncovered population needs.
Evaluate the needs and requests of MDM partners.

Reporting and communication

Participate to the writing, and share monthly medical reports and with qualitative analyses.
Participate actively in the writing of donor's activity reports and proposals.
Provide the needed information and available materials for advocacy and visibility on MdM action, humanitarian situation in Pakistan.
