The Officer, Supply Chain Management, is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities related to the supply chain process. This includes procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution to ensure that the organization’s products and services are delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner. The role requires coordination with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize the flow of goods and services, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization.
  • Negotiate contracts and purchasing terms to secure favorable agreements with suppliers.
  • Placed and managed orders for materials and products, ensuring they met the organization’s requirements.

𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

  • Oversee inventory control and management, ensuring the correct stock levels are maintained.
  • Implement systems to track inventory movements and ensure accuracy in stock records.
  • Manage inventory turnover to minimize waste, obsolescence, or overstocking.

𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

  • Coordinate the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to warehouses or distribution points.
  • Work with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor and optimize transportation costs, routes, and delivery schedules.

𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

  • Analyze current supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that supply chain processes align with organizational goals and business needs.

𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, product quality, and customer service.
  • Resolve issues with suppliers, such as delays or product defects, to ensure smooth operations.

𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

  • Keep accurate records of procurement, inventory, and logistics activities.
  • Prepare reports on supply chain performance, costs, inventory levels, and order statuses.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain effectiveness.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:

  • Ensure all supply chain operations comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Identify and address potential risks within the supply chain, including delays, stockouts, or cost fluctuations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment in supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Support projects to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Preferably 2-3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain with a major in procurement & Administration.

𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical skills to assess supply chain data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, procurement processes, and logistics management.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in supply chain management.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Comfortable handling logistics, procurement, and inventory tasks as needed.
