Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the hospital’s annual budget.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and hospital policies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain and update internal control policies and procedures.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the hospital’s financial stability.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to manage employee benefits programs and related financial aspects.
Financial Systems and Technology:
- Implement and maintain financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Train and support staff on financial software and reporting tools.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the finance department.
