Responsibilities:
1. Ensure smooth and uninterrupted business application operations through vigilant monitoring of the Data Center Environment, Installed Infrastructure, Databases & Data Communication Links
2. Optimal performance of Data Center
3. Monitoring health & resource utilization of Servers, SAN, Databases & Data Communication Links, Environment Monitoring Sensors, Cooling & Power through monitoring applications and system-generated logs.
4. Physical inspection of Infrastructure equipment and maintaining events log sheet.
5. Maintain a Clean & Dust free environment in the Data Center & Associated Rooms to avert any failure of Infrastructure equipment in the Data Center due to these factors.
6. Avert possible failures to sensitive components caused by contaminated environment & dust particulates.
7. Coordination with the vendor for quarterly preventive maintenance, cleaning & servicing of Precision & Comfort ACs, Fire Suppression Systems, Alert Sensors & UPSs
8. Immediate action against any generated alert for the Data Center environment, Infrastructure Equipment, Databases & Data Communication Links
9. Mitigate outage of System Facilities to business users.
10. Reporting equipment & service failure to concerned teams & log a complaint to vendors for timely resolution.
11. Coordinate & facilitate in-house teams & vendor engineers in diagnosing and rectifying report problems.
12. Maintain up-to-date logs for activities performed in Data Center by In-house teams and visiting vendors.
13. Recording of historical data of error/failure events to maintain a pattern for taking Proactive safety measures.
14. Maintain copies of Job sheets/call reports submitted by vendor engineer, logging of troubleshooting steps taken by in-house teams in resolving errors.
