IRC has been working in Pakistan for over 40 years, and manages and delivers large, complex programs to meet the needs in health, education, protection, environmental health, and livelihoods for displaced, poor and disaster-affected communities. IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, and Sindh provinces.

Job Overview/Summary:

Field Supervisor will be hired to supervisor all project activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepares weekly or monthly work plans to meet operational needs at all health facilities/ community sites where nutrition project staff, especially nutrition assistants and social mobilizers are deployed in 3 districts of Sindh.
  • Train project staff in areas of developing static and mobile nutrition sites for population cannot access the nutrition services.
  • Assists staff coverage when needed to meet operational needs.
  • Provide technical support to nutrition assistants and social mobilizers, to promote implementation of simplified protocols of CMAM.
  • Ensure all staff understand and implement program guidelines used for assessing simplified protocols issues, advising them of the best implementation solutions and following up as appropriate.
  • Ensure appropriate and consistent education messaging to mothers at OTPs/ BISP facilitation centers/ hospitals/community catchment areas in the community.
  • Facilitate the development and scheduling of nutrition assistants and social mobilizers monthly activities in collaboration with other sectors.
  • Prepare field visit plans and supervision checklist in advance of trips.
  • Compile monthly activity reports and assist stock consumption/distribution plans for each of OTPs/ BISP facilitation centers/ hospitals/community catchment areas.
  • Conduct training to build the capacity of Nutrition assistants and social mobilizers.
  • Facilitate integrated programming to promote communication and referral between community to health facilities and vice versa.
  • Liaise with other humanitarian actors, local authorities, government actors as appropriate on assessment and response to support implementation of simplified protocols of CMAM in the project intervention areas.
  • Provide technical support to keep a record of mothers and children attending education sessions, receiving support through social mobilizers in the field and nutrition assistants at the health facility.
  • Weekly reporting of activities to the Nutrition assistants and social mobilizers.
  • Shared monthly work plan and activity report to higher ups for clear directions on decision.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor related to the project interventions.

Job Requirements:

a) Education:

Bachelors

b) Work Experience:

Minimum 02-03-year work experience with an INGO or in offices (Preferability will be given to relevant experience)

c) Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Good health and personal hygiene
  • Demonstrated cleaning skills
  • Responsiveness to direction and willingness to learn
  • Language Skills – Local languages along with good Urdu speaking

Others:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with NGO or in the development sector.
