Job Title: IT Officer (MIS Expert)

Duty Station: Head Office, Islamabad

Reporting to: General Manager Programs

Introduction:

Position Objective:

The IT Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the Management Information System This position is designed to support the effective deployment and utilization of the EMIS by overseeing data management, system enhancement, and providing technical support. You will work closely with internal teams and the external vendor to facilitate system functionality, address technical issues, and ensure the alignment of the system with organizational goals. This role is essential for building internal capacity, optimizing system performance, and ensuring value for money in the implementation and ongoing use of the MIS/EMIS.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the implementation and day-to-day management of the MIS/EMIS, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance

2. Develop and implement strategies for data entry, validation, and management to maintain data accuracy and integrity within the system.

3. Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the MIS/EMIS.

4. Generate and analyze reports to support decision-making processes and assess the effectiveness of the MIS.

5. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

6. Ensure that the EMIS complies with relevant regulations and organizational policies, including data security and privacy standards.

7. Work closely with the IT section to coordinate support and maintenance efforts, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.

8. Oversee and ensure secure FTP uploading processes, including handling large data files between different environments.

9. Work with SQL Server to design, optimize, and maintain databases, ensuring data consistency, security, and performance.

10. Plan, execute, and manage the migration of data and applications from cloud-based systems to local servers, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Minimum Requirement:

Qualification:

Bachelors in IT/ CS/ Programming

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in managing or supporting management information systems (MIS) or similar software applications.

Skill Set:

Technical Knowledge
Programming Skills
Monitoring, training, and supporting the use of the MIS/EMIS.
Familiarity with SQL
