We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AR Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Accounts Receivable (AR) process for medical claims. You will ensure timely and accurate submission, follow-up, and resolution of outstanding claims, working closely with insurance companies and patients to ensure payments are collected efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit insurance claims to multiple payers.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure resolution.
  • Review patient accounts for accuracy, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Work with healthcare providers to clarify coding or documentation issues.
  • Track and report on account status, preparing regular reports for management.
  • Handle patient billing inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in AR Medical Billing (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and insurance billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in billing software and MS Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (CPC, CCS, or similar).
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes and payer guidelines.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
