The Plant Manager at Hamdard is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Processing Units. The Plant Manager demonstrates strong leadership skills to guide a team of 20 persons, while also providing technical expertise and fostering a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization. Continuously striving for excellence, the Plant Manager works to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and promote a culture of safety and innovation within the plant.
Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage all daily plant operations to achieve production targets and optimize resource allocation.
Develop and refine production schedules, ensuring on-time product delivery without compromising quality.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
Oversee and maintain equipment and machinery through effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a strong team environment that promotes high performance and morale.
Implement training programs focused on enhancing employee skills, safety practices, and overall productivity.
Enforce compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Establish and maintain quality control standards throughout production processes, ensuring adherence to industry requirements and customer specifications.
Identify and proactively resolve quality issues to prevent defects and maintain high standards of excellence.
Manage inventory levels for both raw materials and finished products, ensuring effective coordination with procurement for timely material availability.
Monitor and evaluate utility consumption (electricity, fuel) and implement measures to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
Introduce sustainable practices, including waste recycling programs and energy-efficient solutions to reduce the plant's environmental footprint.
Explore and implement innovative production techniques to improve overall productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Develop strategies for the effective use of biomass waste in pellet production, contributing to sustainable practices.
Prepare and present detailed reports on production performance, quality control, and maintenance activities to management.
Collaborate with key departments such as R&D, logistics, and sales to align interdepartmental goals and improve overall operational efficiency.
Communicate performance metrics and recommend actionable improvement plans to management based on comprehensive data analysis.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production target achievement, downtime reduction, quality standards maintenance, and energy efficiency.
