Verify dental insurance coverage for patients by contacting insurance providers through phone calls, online portals, or other communication channels.
Confirm eligibility, benefit coverage, limitations, and pre-authorization requirements.
Accurately document insurance information in patient records or practice management systems.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of verified insurance details.
Collaborate with the dental office staff to ensure everyone is informed about patient insurance details
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to insurance coverage.
Work with insurance providers to clarify and rectify any conflicting information.
Stay up-to-date on changes in dental insurance policies and procedures.
Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance knowledge of insurance billing and verification processes.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and verify eligibility and benefits information accurately.
Strong organizational skills to manage high volumes of calls, emails, and documentation
Positive attitude, customer-focused, and able to work under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and insurance companies
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance coding (CPT, ICD-10), insurance plans (HMO, PPO, Medicaid, Medicare), and HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements is a Plus!
