The Assistant Manager - Quality Control will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes within our leather and textile safety apparel and gloves manufacturing unit. This individual will ensure that all products meet industry and company standards, working closely with production teams to detect and correct quality issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control department.
Monitor the production processes to ensure adherence to company standards for leather and textile safety apparel/gloves.
Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and testing protocols to maintain product integrity.
Lead the team in inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods for compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Planning, and Industrial Engineering, to resolve quality-related issues.
Train and mentor QC staff to ensure quality assurance standards are understood and followed throughout the factory.
Maintain records of inspection results, prepare detailed reports on quality performance, and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet required specifications.
Assist the QC Manager in audits, quality certifications, and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support R&D and product development teams in ensuring new products meet quality standards before mass production.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Leather Technology, or related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing setup, preferably in leather/textile safety apparel or gloves.
Strong knowledge of quality standards and testing methods related to leather/textile manufacturing.
Familiarity with ISO standards and other quality management systems.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an international or export-oriented company.
Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
Familiarity with compliance and safety regulations in the leather and textile industry.
