Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and methods to maximize productivity.
- Conduct time and motion studies to standardize operations and set accurate benchmarks.
Capacity Planning:
- Evaluate production capacity and recommend adjustments to meet demand fluctuations.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure balanced workloads and resource utilization.
Work Measurement and Standards:
- Develop and maintain accurate work standards for all production activities.
- Establish and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical operations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor production metrics and analyze data to track performance against set KPIs.
- Generate detailed reports and present insights to senior management.
Cost Reduction Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities to reduce material waste, energy consumption, and labor costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve quality.
Method Development and Training:
- Develop efficient methods for new product introductions in collaboration with the Product Development team.
- Conduct training sessions for production staff on new methods and processes.
Continuous Improvement Projects:
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, etc.) to enhance factory performance.
- Drive projects aimed at achieving sustainability goals, such as water and energy conservation.
Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and data.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, preferably in the leather/textile safety apparel, gloves, or bags industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IE tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, MTM).
- Proficiency in production layout design and work measurement techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and industrial engineering software (AutoCAD, ERP systems).
Certifications (Preferred):
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or related disciplines.
