Procurement Planning:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing raw materials (yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals, etc.) in alignment with production needs and company goals.
- Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely deliveries.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring adherence to legal and company policies.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock and coordinate with the inventory team for efficient stock management.
- Implement just-in-time (JIT) purchasing practices to optimize inventory turnover.
Cost Management:
- Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and ensuring timely delivery.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards in all purchasing activities.
- Prepare regular procurement reports, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and purchase order status for management review.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior purchase officers, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, logistics) to align purchasing activities with overall business objectives.
