Position Overview:

The Finance Assistant will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded. This role will also involve supporting audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting in internal and external audits. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in finance combined with audit experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Process invoices, track expenses, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
Monitor financial transactions and ensure they are recorded accurately in accounting software.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of effective audit programs.
Identify inconsistencies and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Assist in reporting on audit results and recommend improvements in policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in finance, with exposure to audit processes.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
