Lab Billing Specialist

Position: Full time (Remote)

9pm night to 6am morning

Responsibilities

Code claims using ICD-10 and CPT Codes from lab reports to billing
Prepare and submit claims to various insurance companies
Manage insurance payments into billing software and document issues as they occur
Appeals to all carriers within a timely fashion for rejected/denied claims
Follow up with doctors and other clinical staff for any missing information as it pertains to billing
Research and resolve client billing problems or issues (rejections)
Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
The ideal Medical Lab Biller will have great communication and computer skills, a professional attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Any other duties and/or special projects as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

At least 3 years of Lab Billing experience
At least 1 year of Covid-19 Testing
Must have familiar insurance guidelines
Working knowledge of MS Excel
Knowledge of electronic billing software (Knowledge of AdvancedMD and/or CollaborateMD is a plus)
Detail oriented, reliable, punctual and motivated to work
