Quality control analysts conduct a wide range of tests when scrutinising a product's condition. Some of the inspections tasks they're expected to perform are:

monitoring assembly lines and ensuring operations run correctly
testing manufacturing equipment and maintaining instruments
selecting and testing a percentage of the products made by a facility as prescribed by industry standards
identifying defects, malfunctions or discrepancies in products
reporting all errors, faults or inconsistencies with the product to senior staff
provide training for novice quality assurance staff and manage their progress
conduct various inspections over the entire production stages, the raw materials, final product and packaging.
tracking, developing and updating the testing protocols.
