The Medical Biller manages the billing process for a healthcare facility, ensuring that claims are accurately submitted and payments are collected in a timely manner. This role involves working with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to handle billing issues and maintain accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claim Submission: Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government agencies.
- Billing Accuracy: Verify and code diagnoses and procedures accurately.
- Patient Communication: Address patient billing inquiries and assist with understanding charges and payment options.
- Insurance Coordination: Check insurance coverage and resolve any claim issues with insurance companies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate billing records and track payments.
- Compliance: Follow relevant regulations and privacy laws.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bechalor or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience in medical billing is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of medical is a plus, attention to detail, good communication skills, English fluency is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with standard working hours; may involve extended hours during busy periods.
