What would it be like to start as the new SEO Specialist? You'd be joining a well-known, successful, and fast growing National e-commerce leader in it's space, shipping millions of parcels every year - and still looking to double in size in the upcoming 1-2 years. You'll work in a substantial marketing team, and really own the SEO / Organic Search function, and make a measurable impact across the entire team, including upper management. As the Organic Search Specialist, you'll be expected to own, drive and manage the SEO strategy for the entire eCommerce business. You'll have enough resources - internal and external - at your disposal to truly achieve your goals.

My client's marketing team is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist who will be responsible for the management of strategy and implementation. SEO activities you'll be responsible for include, but not limited to, include backlink outreach, keyword strategy as well as all monitoring and reporting. Additionally, SEO optimization for particular campaigns will also be a part of the scope.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you'd be responsible for:

  • Keyword research to identify keyword opportunities, and execution of gap analysis.
  • Ensuring a healthy backlink profile through increased outreach to secure new backlinks as well as actioning on toxic backlinks.
  • Develop new SEO strategies as well as maintenance of existing SEO priorities.
  • Monitoring and reporting through key SEO tools, including SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Moz & Google Search Console.
  • To be at the forefront and knowledgeable of industry updates, and relaying knowledge to the rest of the team, when relevant.
  • Conduct audit and resolve of error pages
  • Optimise new and existing copy and content to comply with best SEO practices, working closely with the UX side of the business.
  • Recommend SEO improvements to website development, architecture, and linking.
  • Develop and execute link building strategy.
  • Collaborate in tandem with Paid Search, to ensure optimal business outcomes.
  • Identify emerging trends in organic visibility and initiating strategies to capitalise on these findings.

Your Profile

  • Relevant Degree in Marketing, Business or Similar;
  • A minimum of 3 years working with SEO;
  • Industry experience in the e-Commerce is essential;
  • Proven experience in SEO, including on the content and technical-front. Understanding of elements including reviews, link building, error page auditing, rankings and indexed pages;
  • An understanding of performance marketing metrics, particularly including those surrounding average position, click through rates, visibility and traffic;
  • Commercial and tactical thinker;
  • Understanding the importance of ROI and the role of SEO in optimizing that metric is important;
  • In-depth understanding of tools including SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and Google Analytics;
  • An all-rounder with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal collaborator that can speak with both highly technical developers, and creative copywriters.
