3J Solutions is seeking a Site Survey and Estimation Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in civil works and site handling. This role demands the ability to perform detailed site surveys and analyze them accurately to aid project planning. The supervisor will play a crucial part in understanding material requirements, staying informed on market rates, and supporting purchasing activities. The role requires hands-on involvement in preparing precise quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and project feasibility. Basic computer skills, particularly proficiency with Excel and quotation preparation software, are essential to succeed in this position. This role does not include team management responsibilities but requires strong organizational skills to coordinate tasks independently.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough site visits to perform surveys and collect necessary data for project estimation. Analyze site conditions and civil work details to assist in project planning and budgeting. Understand and evaluate the material requirements for various construction projects by consulting site data and plans. Keep up-to-date with current market rates for construction and civil materials to ensure accurate cost estimation. Source and identify reliable suppliers for purchasing construction materials at competitive prices. Manage purchasing activities when required, ensuring timely procurement to support project schedules. Prepare detailed and accurate quotations based on site surveys, material requirements, and market rates. Utilize computer skills, especially Excel, to organize data, create reports, and prepare quotations efficiently. Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to coordinate material delivery and ensure project requirements are met on time. Maintain records of site surveys, material usage, quotations, and purchasing activities for future reference and audit purposes. Adhere strictly to company policies, safety standards, and procurement procedures throughout all tasks.
